Planting Water

This is a complete program aimed at working with local communities to develop an awareness of the local hydrological cycle, and to design and plan strategies which will enhance their water security, at the same time as improving water infiltration into the soil (and deeper aquifers) and permitting regeneration of stream bed vegetation and local biodiversity.

At the same time as it deals with local hydrological issues, it also uses modern participatoiry and empowering processes that enable to community to plan and impliment thier own requirements for the development of their community. The training in this programn could be used by community memebrs in other areas of their struggle for development.

The Institute is currently seeking funding to run this program in conjunction with the indigenous community of Corrego-Seco, Aquadauana, MS. For more details on the project click here, to donate to this project, click here.
